Webware'in her sene düzenlemiş olduğu geleneksel Webware 100 anketinin 2008 yılı için oylaması başladı. 10 ayrı kategoride toplam 300 uygulama, internet kullanıcılarının oylarına sunuldu. Her kategoride, 30 uygulamadan 3'üne oy verilebiliyor.
Oylama yapılan kategoriler şöyle :
Audio (Music, podcasts, audiobooks)
Geçen sene seçilen last.fm ve pandora bu sene de adaylar arasında.
Publishing and photography (Blogging, content management, photo sites)
Browsing (Browsers, start pages, RSS readers, widgets, runtime engines)
Ben burada firefox'u tek geçiyorum.
Search and reference (Search engines, encyclopedias, mapping)
Kendim çalışıyorum diye söylemiyorum ama bu kategoride
hakia da adaylardan biri.
Commerce and events (Retail, auctions, travel, real estate, concerts, conferences)
Social (Social networking, family sites, recommendations, online worlds, contests)
Bu kategoride oldukça iddialı adaylar var, ama benim favorim LinkedIn.
Communication (E-mail, chat, voice)
